Seminar highlights contributions of youths to Vietnam-Russia traditional friendship

Addressing the event, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee Bui Quang Huy affirmed that the seminar, part of the ongoing Vietnam-Russia Youth Forum, is an opportunity for youths of the two countries to meet and exchange their experience in youth affairs and to recall the Vietnam-Russia traditional relations.

Huy affirmed that the Vietnamese youth is fully aware that the traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two peoples, including youths, are the precious assets which need to be further consolidated and passed down from generation to generation.

During the seminar, delegates shared their stories and memories of the Vietnam and Russia friendship while studying and working in the two countries. Young participants of the two countries also voiced their opinions on how to strengthen the friendship for peace, cooperation and development of the two countries, the region and the world as a whole.

The participants stressed that in the coming time the two sides should foster the organization of international youth exchanges, activities to promote creative startups and voluntary activities for the community, so as to strengthen cooperation between Vietnamese and Russian youths. Meanwhile, universities and training centers should host short training courses on leadership for youths as well as activities to connect Vietnamese students in Russia and vice versa.

Earlier on the morning of July 24, the 50-member delegation of outstanding Russian youths, led by Chairman of the Russian Federal Agency for Youth Affairs Alexander Bugayev laid wreaths at and visited the President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum.
