State President attends Ho Chi Minh National University new school year ceremony

This school year ceremony carries the message, "The 4th Science and Technology Revolution associates with the digital era to challenge the issue of cyberspace, cyber warfare, network security".

On behalf of the Party and the State, President has sent his best wishes to all participants, teachers and students of Ho Chi Minh National University. As a special guest speaker, President Tran Dai Quang had a friendly talk on: "The 4th Industrial Revolution : development opportunities and nontraditional challenges " topic.

President analyzed, the 4th scientific & industrial revolution is the engine of development, which have a tremendous impact to the socio-economic life and the environment. But it also brings many challenges in the short and medium term. 

In particular, with the pace of development that unprecedented in the history, the 4th scientific & industrial revolution started problems about cyberspace, cyber warfare and cyber security; profoundly altered tool labor, production methods; and promoted social restructuring.

Specially, the 4th revolution is still at the very initial phase which could be a very precious opportunity for Vietnam to quickly integrate into new industrial sectors.

He also asserted that the mission of high quality University  is on the hands of new generation of scientists, faculty members and talented students. Only high quality University is able to gather outstanding individuals to improve, innovate and promote Vietnam image in the age of scientific & industrial revolution.

Therefore, the Party and State deeply concern on the innovation of education, especially with university, in which higher education must be the leading organizations to implement the new process.
