Substandard medicines suspended from circulation

PSNews - On the first days of 2017, the Drug Administration (Ministry of Public Heath) issued an urgent dispatch to review medicines and seize many fake and substandard medicines.
Among those seized medicines, Prednisolon 5mg used to treat symptoms of inflammation and allergy took a false name of the famous pharmaceutical manufacturer of Vidipha. The testing results have shown that this fake drug did not meet the standards for both quantity and quality.

The Drug Administration also cancelled the circulation of Dai Hong Phuc kidney supplement capsule and Xuyen Huong anti-cold capsules as they did not some standards.
In 2016, the Drug Administration issued a number of decisions to prohibit the circulation and seize a large amount of dozens of substandard domestic- and foreign- made medicines.
Besides, the agency announced 19 times the list of international companies from 10 countries that violated the drug standards of Vietnam.
