Late President Ho Chi Minh’s life and career were highlighted at a symposium held by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Hanoi on May 6 to mark his 130th birthday ( May 19).

Late President Ho Chi Minh’s life and career were highlighted at a symposium held by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Hanoi on May 6 to mark his 130th birthday ( May 19).

Director of the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site Nguyen Van Cong said President Ho set a fine example in patriotism, revolutionary virtue and morality, and knowledge, and is a great source of encouragement for generations of Vietnamese.

He will live forever in the thoughts of the nation and the Vietnamese Party and people are proud of his efforts and grateful for his sacrifice and devotion to national independence, freedom, and happiness.

Some 45 speeches from leaders, former leaders, and officials were sent to organisers, focusing on President Ho’s glorious life and career and also the campaign to study and follow his thoughts, morality, and lifestyle.

Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong said President Ho is a shining symbol in human history.
