The Government has just issued Resolution No. 104 / NQ-CP of the Government's regular meeting in July.

Regarding the revised Education Law, the Government agreed with the Ministry of Education and Training’s proposal to raise the standards of kindergarten teachers under a roadmap, according to which future kindergarten teachers will be trained at college-level schools rather than intermediate-level schools at present..
The Government has also decided to waive tuition fees for 5-year-old children, junior high school students at public education institutions and provide some supports for students at non-public education institutions nationwide.
The Government also assigned Ministry of Education and Training to coordinate with the Ministry of Finance and local authorities to allocate funds to implement the above mentioned policy in a timely manner.
In addition, the Government requested the Ministry of Education and Training to review and evaluate results of the investment in the building and upgrading toilets and clean water supply systems of schools prior to the new school year, especially those in mountainous and remote areas.
The Government also urged the Ministry of Education and Training to soon identify and clarify shortcomings and wrongdoings in the organization of the 2018 National High School Exams, and hold meetings to discuss the causes of the shortcomings and wrongdoings so as to ensure close supervision and transparency of all stages of the future examinations, as well as to continue to coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security to investigate and strictly handle violations in the past National High School Exams.
