Vietnam won second and third prizes at WhiteHat Grand Prix 2016
PSNews-The WhiteHat Grand Prix 2016, with the participation of 500 teams from 52 nations, was successfully concluded on December 20.
Taiwan succeeded in securing the championship at this year’s competition.
The Top 10 finalists named 5 Vietnamese teams, including CLGTftMrrPwn and BabyPhD, who were then ranked the 2nd and 3rd positions and won $2,000 and $1,000 awards respectively.
The first prize, worth $ 10,000, went to Taiwanese team 217, who was the champion of the previous season.
“For the participation in the WhiteHat Grand Prix 2016, we have prepared for nearly 6 months and mobilized nearly 100 cyber security experts and technicians,” shared Mr, Ngo Tuan Anh, vice head of the Cyber Security Division of BKAV, an organizer of the contest. “This year’s WhiteHat Grand Prix included 35 sets of questions, a one and half fold increase compared to the previous year,” he added.
The first competition of this kind was organized in 2014 at the national level and was expanded to the global level in the following year. The WhiteHat Grand Prix usually attracts attention and participation of top cyber teams across the world.
