Vietnamese students win high prize at international tourism competition
The team named “Rêveurs de jour” consists of three students, Luu Thai Quang Khai (Logistics), Nguyen Thi Truc Van (Professional Communications) and Dam Hanh Tam (Economics and Finance). They defeated 200 other teams from 21 countries and made their way to the final round. They have persuaded international experts with not only their convincing ideas on engaging in local and international community but also their passionate presentation.
Their idea is to build an interactive art gallery for millennials, where everyone can share and experience as either artists or art admirers. Within 2 hours, they had to draft a business plan on how to promote their project.

According to Nguyen Thi Truc Van, the idea of using art to connect people from all over the world also aims to enhance the responsibility of enterprises and community. The proceeds earned from painting activities will be sent to orphans.
In order to differentiate themselves from others, in round 1, beside the field trips to Accor hotels in Vietnam, the team Rêveurs de jour traveled to Da Lat to make videos and organize a painting workshop at a local hotel drawing the participation of local people and young travelers to enhance the experience and the practicality of the project.
Accor Take Off! is an annual international competition on innovative ideas of the AccorHotels Group for students majoring in tourism management, hospitality and business around the world. This year, the competition required competitors to dig in the interaction between local people and tourists. This is the first time Vietnamese students have reached the Top 5 final and won the second prize.
