Vingroup starts construction of VinUniversity in Hanoi's Gia Lam

According to the VNS, VinUni will be built in an area of 23 hectares inside the VinCity Ocean Park urban area. The project will include the main building, student dormitories, a sports complex and technical and support areas.

The university is designed by well-known architects from multinational groups like AECOM and HBA, and assessed by Vingroup’s strategic partners including Cornell University and University of Pennsylvania.
VinUni’s main building is a 10-storey construction with a tower reaching 108m in height. All of the lecture halls and study rooms are designed flexibly and equipped with the latest technologies to meet advanced teaching and training techniques such as team-based learning, project-based learning and action-based learning.
The university is scheduled to open in 2020 as a non-profit organisation built on a par with international standards, integrating the elite model of higher education in the world. Deputy Education Minister Le Hai An said that VinUni will cooperate with the US and developed countries to build an internationally standard higher education institution which is expected to contribute greatly to the country’s education sector.
