Xuyen A Hospital saves traffic accident victim with multiple serious injuries

PSNews – The Emergency Room of Xuyen A Hospital on February 15th successfully saved a victim of a serious traffic accident. Being taken to the hospital, the patient had had multiple serious injuries: forehead epidural hematoma, fractured cheekbones, broken skull and right eye socket, intestinal hernia, bruised liver and hemorrhage in stomach.

While riding on Huong Lo 2 road near Phuong Vinh An commune, Cu Chi district, Ho Chi Minh City, T.C (aged 32) collided with a truck and was badly injured.

He was then taken to the emergency room of Xuyen A Hospital in a critical condition.

Realizing the patient’s condition with serious multiple injuries and blood loss, emergency team 115 immediately took him to Xuyen A hospital for subclinical process.

Xuyen A Hospital has saved a traffic accident victim with multiple serious injuries.

Based on CT scan results, patient’s was currently hold forehead epidural hematoma, fractured cheekbones, broken skull and right eye socket, intestinal hernia, bruised liver and hemorrhage in stomach.

A team of experienced doctors of Xuyen A Hospital immediately held a consultation and suggested conducting emergency surgery to save patient’s life, and a major operation  was  conducted with the agreement of the patient’s family.

After 4 hours with many complex surgical processes, including endotracheal anesthesia, taking epidural hematoma out of the skull, stitching liver to stop bleeding, healing wounds and powder spindling the open fracture areas near left kneecap, the surgery was successful. The patient received 4 blood units and 2 plasma unit.

On February 17th, patient recovered according to doctors.
