Currently, the local authorities are conducting an autopsy in order to clarify the cause of death, before then handing the body over to the deceased family.

The authorities of An Giang province recently held a meeting with representatives from Kandal province of Cambodia, during which they agreed to review all illegal workers being detained by the casino before handing them over to Vietnamese authorities.

The provincial leader of Kandal informed that there were 11 Vietnamese people working at the Rich World casino, and they would be returned home as soon as investigations are completed.

Earlier, a group of Vietnamese nationals were arrested by An Giang border guards on the morning of August 18.

They said a total of 42 people tried to escape from the casino where they were constantly forced to work overtime without any payment. Some sustained minor injuries. One person is missing and another, a 16-year-old male from Kon Tum province, was caught by the casino staff in his attempt to escape.
