Distressed fisherman in Truong Sa island district taken ashore
PSNews – A ship of the 4th Fisheries Surveillance Flotilla on May 22 successfully took a sick fisherman from the island district of Truong Sa to Ba Ngoi port, Cam Ranh City, Khanh Hoa Province for treatment.
Earlier on May 18, the ship KN-401 of the 4th Fisheries Surveillance Flotilla operating in the waters of Truong Sa island received information about a seriously ill fisherman named Tran Thanh Phuong (born in 1978, residing in Tam Quang Commune, Nui Thanh District, Quang Nam Province).
He was taken to the Nam Yet Island Medical Facility by a group of fishermen. According to the local doctors, he was diagnosed with oral allergy and he had many festering ulcers inside his mouth.
In this situation, the 4th Fisheries Surveillance Flotilla immediately sent the ship KN-401 to transfer him to Ba Ngoi port, Cam Ranh City, Khanh Hoa Province while taking special care of him during the journey.
The team then in collaboration with the Naval Region 4 Command and the Border Guard Station No.384 transferred the patient to his family for further treatment.
