Hanoi kids return to school after nine months of online learning

Approximately 500,000 first and sixth graders in Hanoi’s outlying districts returned to school on February 10 after nine months of distance learning due to the emergence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

Despite cold weather and rain many pupils eagerly go to school very early in the morning.

They are accompanied by their parents.

First graders are given a card with their name, class name and class address on it.

Parents are required to say goodbye to their children at the entrance gate.

Checkpoints have been erected at the entrance gate.

Teachers check the pupils’ body temperature and instruct them to wash their hands with sanitizer before entering the classroom.

The pupils of different classes follow different lanes to enter their class.

All schools offer both physical and virtual learning at the same time

Pupils in inner districts are scheduled to return to school on February 21.
