HCM City administers third COVID-19 vaccine shots from December 10

Ho Chi Minh City provided additional and booster shots of the COVID-19 vaccine to local residents from December 10.

Healthcare workers, military forces, and security officers are among the first people to receive their third doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Local citizens present their certificates of two COVID-19 vaccines and fill in their individual information before receiving injection.

Residents have their health carefully checked.

Approximately 2,000 locals receive the AstraZeneca vaccine on December 10 at an inoculation site in the Industrial University in Go Vap district.

The southern city begins the process of administering booster shots to people over the age of 18 who are fully vaccinated.

The third COVID-19 vaccine shots are primarily given to those in high-risk groups, including those suffering from underlying conditions, those aged 50 and above, and frontline healthcare workers.

Locals are urged to monitor their health at inoculation sites for 30 minutes following the injection.

Nhu Quynh, a resident of Hoc Mon district, says she is happy to get the third COVID-19 vaccine shot as it will help to protect herself and her family.
