Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union hosts Vietnamese, Lao and Cambodian children cultural exchange
The Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union held a cultural exchange among children from Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia in Ho Chi Minh City on August 13.
The event was part of the activities held by young people of the three countries to mark the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Year and Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Year as well as the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Laos diplomatic relations and 55th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Cambodia diplomatic relations.
Addressing the event, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Nguyen Pham Duy Trang said youth organizations of the three countries worked together to hold many exchanges for youths and children from the three countries, one of which is the annual Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia children festival, aiming to educate children about the traditional good relations among the three countries.
The organizers hoped that event, held after two years of suspension due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with a number of exciting activities would create a chance for the children to know more about the good traditions and culture of each country as well as long-standing friendship among the three countries.
Politburo member and Standing Member of the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee Vo Van Thuong attended the event and appreciated the efforts of youth organizations of the three countries in holding joint activities for youths and children from the three countries.
