HSPA presents certificate of merit to 82-year-old graduate of high school

At the ceremony, Nguyen Huy Ky received the certificate of merit with respect. He said: "This award is a social encouragement for him as well as young people. Innovations and new technologies are changing the world and the daily lives of each and every one of us. Therefore, we need to keep learning and creating".
As reported, Nguyen Huy Ky, an 82-year-old man from Thanh Xuan, Hanoi, officially passed Vietnam’s 2022 national high school graduation exam with a total score of 22.35.
Accordingly, he got 4.75 points out of 10 in literature, 3.6 points in math, 6.5 points in history, and 6.5 points in geography. He was given 0.25 priority points as a candidate who is 35 years or older, as of the date of the high school graduation exam and another 1.0 point based on his grade-A computer certificate while studying as a continuing education student.
He shared that the reason for his pursuit is to return to the profession of Oriental medicine, which requires him to attend a medical school, and a high school diploma is a must for admission to the medical school.
Earlier, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son also presented a certificate of merit to 82-year-old man Nguyen Huy Ky
Minister Son praised Mr. Ky’s strong spirit to pursue his goals in studying, saying his academic result will inspire young people to overcome the difficulties they face in order to obtain their goals in life.
Ky was born in 1940 and is working as a physician. The war interrupted his study and he did not graduate from high-school. He fought in the war and was seriously injured.
