In pictures: US aircraft arrive in Hanoi ahead of US President's visit

PSNews - A Boeing C-17 Globemaster III plane carrying supplies and vehicles for U.S. President Joe Biden's upcoming visit to Vietnam landed at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi.

The C-17 military transport aircraft numbered 33126 landed at the airport at 3:55 pm on September 1. After two hours in Hanoi for unloading, the C-17 leaves at 6:05 pm.

The plane brought a number of specialized cars and wrapped packages to Hanoi and left the airport two hours ago after these items were unloaded.

The C-17 Globemaster III is a heavyweight military aircraft developed by Berkeley-based aerospace manufacturing firm McDonnell Douglas at the end of the 1980s for strategic and tactical transportation, capable of carrying weapons and soldiers to any location in the world.

On September 3, another 2 Boeing C-17 Globemaster III transport aircraft carrying supplies and equipment for U.S. President Joe Biden's upcoming visit to Vietnam landed at Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi.

The first aircraft landed at 9:30 am. and the second landed at 10 am. They were all parked at the hangars to unload for a couple hours.

US President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. will pay a State visit to Vietnam from September 10 – 11, the Foreign Ministry announced on September 5. The visit is made at the invitation of the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Nguyen Phu Trong.
