Local health official dismissed for poor efficiency in COVID-19 prevention and control
The Bien Hoa Municipal Party Committee (Dong Nai) on October 4 dismissed Tran Huu Hau from the post of Head of the Health Office of Bien Hoa city.
The health official was sacked due to his irresponsibility for prevention and control of COVID-19 in the locality over the past time.
By October 4, Bien Hoa city had recorded 21,300 COVID-19 cases, accounting for over 40% of the total infection number in Dong Nai province. Bien Hoa city is considered the sheer “red area” in Dong Nai, according to the Provincial Center for Disease Prevention and Control.
The health sector of the city was to blame for the surge of COVID-19 cases in the locality. The Municipal Health Office, led by Tran Huu Hau, has been believed to fail to fulfill his mission of preventing the spread of the pandemic in the city.
