Major General Le Tan Toi visits Vietnamese Heroic Mother in Nghe An
PSNews - A delegation of the National Assembly's Committee for Defense and Security led by its Chairman Major General Le Tan Toi, Member of the Party Central Committee, visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Thin.
The event was organized on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2022).
This is an annual activity of the National Assembly's Committee for Defense and Security, aiming at paying tribute to heroic martyrs who have shed blood for national freedom and independence.
Within the event, Major General Le Tan Toi and the delegation of the National Assembly's Committee for Defense and Security visited and presented gift to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Thin, residing in Cua Nam ward, Vinh City, Nghe An Province.
Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Thin is 96 years old. Her son, martyr Nguyen Quoc Hung, who was born in 1952, sacrificed on the southern battlefield in 1970.
In her house, Major General Le Tan Toi and the delegation paid tribute to martyr Nguyen Quoc Hung. The delegation inquired after the health of Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Thin and offered gifts to her.
Major General Le Tan Toi wished her good health and continue to be the great encouragement source for the next generation while actively participating in the “All people unite in building a civilized lifestyle” in the locality.
