Nearly 2,000 people join Olympic Day Run in Thua Thien Hue
PSNews – The Department of Culture and Sports of Thua Thien Hue Province on March 27 kicked off the Olympic Day Run for public health and the 30th Traditional Marathon Tournament 2022.
The Olympic Day Run drew the participation of nearly 2,000 non-professional athletes from local districts, towns and cities, as well as local departments, branches and agencies, and students from local educational institutions.
According to Mr. Phan Thanh Hai, Director of the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Department of Culture and Sports, the event aimed at conveying the message of friendship, respect, love and peace.
Meanwhile, the 30th Traditional Marathon Tournament 2022 attracted over 350 athletes from 9 local districts, cities, towns as well as local educational institutions and armed forces, who competed in 2 categories: 6.2km and 4.2km along the Huong River.
