President Lam wrote in a guest book that the temple in Tra Vinh province not only shows the feelings of the Southerners in general and the people of Tra Vinh in particular towards the beloved leader of the nation, but also is a symbol of the strength of great solidarity, heroic struggle and resilience of Vietnamese army and people.
Construction of the temple started on March 10, 1970, and completed on January 26, 1971.
The 16sq.m temple was recognised as a national historical and cultural relic in 1989 - the first of its kind in the province.
