Quang Ninh boosts tourism development with 24 new products
PSNews - The maritime tourism products in Bai Tu Long Bay in Van Don District are among the 24 new products that Quang Ninh Province has planned to launch in the coming time.
In particular, a number of cruise ships on Ha Long Bay will be used to serve two sightseeing tours on Bai Tu Long Bay.
The operation of the two new routes is expected to help effectively exploit the Ao Tien port, which was put into operation in early March, contributing to diversifying new marine tourism products.
Besides, some new tourism products will be exploited in Ha Long and Mong Cai cities, and Van Don, Co To and Hai Ha districts.
To better exploit the new products, Nguyen Thi Hanh, Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee, asked localities to make plans to ensure facilities, human resources and service quality are ready for peak seasons.
The northern province of Quang Ninh, home to UNESCO-recognised Ha Long Bay, welcomed about 1.7 million visitors and earned some 3 trillion VND (126.56 million USD) from tourism services in February.
Apart from spiritual tourism, which often sees a boom every spring, cruise services showed a strong recovery after the COVID-19 pandemic.
The province has sketched out a project on sustainable tourism development by 2025 with a vision towards 2030, which sets the target of serving about 15.5 million holidaymakers every year from now till 2025, of whom at least 5 million are foreigners.
