Reburial service for martyrs held in Dong Thap
A ceremony was held at Tam Nong Martyrs’ Cemetery in the southwestern province of Dong Thap on July 26 to rebury the remains of 80 fallen combatants found and repatriated from Cambodia.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Doan Tan Buu, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Dong Thap, expressed gratitude to all martyrs and sympathy for the great loss of their families.
After the commemoration ceremony, the reburial service was held for the remains of 80 fallen combatants found in the province and repatriated from Cambodia.
In the 2021-2022 dry season from December 2021 to May 2022, K91 team under the Provincial Military Command of Dong Thap collected and repatriated the remains of 75 martyrs from Cambodia and gathered the remains of 5 martyrs in different localities of the province.
Since 2001, the team has collected the remains of 1,981 martyrs with a majority found and repatriated from Cambodia, of which 93 remains have not yet unidentified.
