Vietnam names 10 outstanding young faces of the year
Winners of the Vietnam Outstanding Young Faces Award 2022 were announced on March 6 by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee.
The list of awardees includes Ngo Quy Dang and Vo Hoang Hai in the study category, Dr. Truong Thanh Tung in the scientific research category, Nguyen Nhu Thanh in production, Nguyen Van Thien Vu in business – startup, and Senior Lieutenant Le Hao in defence. Elsewhere, Lieutenant Thao A Khu in security and order, Huynh Nhu in sport, Lieutenant Duong Hai Anh in social activities, and singer Nguyen Thi Ngoc Ha and Ha Myo in culture and art also picked up the award.
Furthermore, the judging panel also selected a total of 10 Vietnamese potential young faces in 2022.
They include Tran Xuan Bach in the study category, Dr. Chu Duc Ha and Dr. Le Thi Phuong in scientific research, Dang Duong Minh Hoang in production, Nguyen Thi Thu Hoa in business – startup, Senior Lieutenant Vu Trung Kien in defence, Captain Vu Ngoc Truong in security and order, Nguyen Thien Ngan in sport, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Tam in social activities, and Ha Le Diem in culture and art.
The organising board earlier unveiled a list of 20 nominees for the awards, whose names were put on an online vote from February 16 to March 4 at www.tainnangtrevietnam.vn.
The total number of votes for nominations for the Vietnam Outstanding Young Faces Award 2022 reached 25,225,425, marking an increase of 105% compared to figures in 2021.
An awards ceremony is scheduled to be held in Hanoi on March 23 in the presence of leaders of the Party, State and Government.
The Vietnam Outstanding Young Faces Award is considered to be the noblest honour put forward by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, with the aim of honouring the various outstanding youths under 35 who have made great contributions to both the country and the local community.
Over the past 26 years, the award has honoured 270 outstanding youngsters across various fields.
