VND 200 billion invested into Hoi An fire prevention and fighting project
Authorities in the central province of Quang Nam have approved a VND200 billion (USD8.69 million) project on fire prevention and control in Hoi An City.
The project, which will start from the coming year, is expected to complete in 2026.
The project aims to perfect the fire prevention and fighting system in Hoi An ancient town, contributing to the conservation and sustainable development of the World Cultural Heritage, and promoting local socio-economic development.
Under the project, the smart fire alarm system will be installed in hundreds of historical and cultural relics in the ancient town. The project will also include the construction of smart lighting and electrical systems, various sensor devices for data collection, fire audio warning and fire surveillance camera systems.
