The Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs co-held a ceremony to present “For National Security Protection” Medals and “For Vietnam’s Diplomacy” Medals to leaders of the two ministries on March 17.

Over the past time, the cooperation mechanisms between the two ministries have played crucial roles in working fields of the two sectors and contributed to the achievements of the two ministries.
The cooperation mechanisms between the two sides that have achieved good outcomes over the past time include the coordination regulation in protecting national security, ensuring public order and social safety, and supporting foreign relations, as well as the regulations on strengthening information security and safety for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In recognition of the great contributions of the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the coordination mechanisms between the two sides over the past time, General To Lam, Minister of Public Security, presented “For National Security Protection” Medals to the Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs To Anh Dung, Nguyen Quoc Dung, and Nguyen Minh Vu.
Meanwhile, Mr. Bui Thanh Son, Permanent Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs presented “For Vietnam’s Diplomacy” Medals to Deputy Ministers of Public Security: Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Lieutenant General Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Major General Le Quoc Hung, Major General Le Tan Toi; Chief of the Ministry of Public Security’ Office, Major General To An Xo and Major General Duong Ha, Director of the External Security Department under the Ministry of Public Security.

Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the Ministry of Public Security leadership, Minister To Lam stated that this was a great honor for those who received the “For Vietnam’s Diplomacy” Medals and “For National Security Protection.”
He stressed that the awards were the recognition of their important contributions to the causes of national security protection and foreign relations.
He believed that, in the coming time, the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue to effectively implement their coordination so that the two sectors can successfully fulfill their tasks assigned by the Party and State.
