MPS’s national scientific seminar on responsibility of Party members for setting examples opens

The Ministry of Public Security (MPS), in coordination with the “Su That” (Truth) National Political Publishing House, organized an online national scientific seminar themed "The responsibility of cadres and Party members in of the People's Public Security Forces for setting examples in the new situation" on June 29 in Hanoi, connecting the police departments of the 63 provinces and cities nationwide.

The seminar was chaired by the General, Prof. Dr. To Lam, Member of the Politburo and Minister of Public Security, Head of the Conference Steering Committee, Mr. Vo Van Thuong, Member of the Politburo, Member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat and Head of the Party Central Committee's Information and Education Commission, Senior Lieutenant General, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security, Mr. Pham Chi Thanh, Acting Editor-in-Chief of the “Su That” National Political Publishing House.

The seminar also saw the presence of leaders, former leaders of the MPS, other ministries, and Central-level agencies as well as some 2,500 delegates from the police departments of the 63 provinces and municipalities across the country.

At the seminar, delegates discussed and exchanged views related to the topics: “Cadres and Party members’ responsibility for setting examples as a key leadership approach of the Vietnam Communist Party”, “Responsibility of cadres and Party members in the People’s Public Security Forces for setting examples at work”, and “Promoting the responsibility of cadres and Party members in the Public Security Forces in setting examples in the new situation”.

To conclude the seminar, Minister To Lam asked the Public Security Department of Science, Strategy and History to coordinate with the “Su That” National Political Publishing House and other functional units to summarize the ideas and opinions given by the delegates at the seminar and submit the report to the Public Security Central Party Committee and leaders of the MPS.

Minister To Lam affirmed that the MPS will strictly handle any public security officers and Party members who violate the laws or working ethics.

Minister To Lam asked all public security units and agencies, in coordination with press and media agencies to popularize good people and good deeds in the People’s Public Security Forces as well as those with excellent achievements in fighting crimes and building the forces.

They should promptly commend and honor public security teams and officers with outstanding achievements in research and application of scientific and technological advances in performing their tasks as well as those who have initiatives in reforming administrative procedures for the people, and those who devotedly serve the people in border areas and on islands.

All public security officers and soldiers were asked to heighten their sense of responsibility in setting examples at work, making efforts to fulfill all the tasks assigned by the Party, the State, and the people.
