Ministries hold talks with Youth Union delegates

125 delegates to the National Congress of HCMCYU participated in a forum themed “Vietnamese youths proactively protecting Fatherland” with the presence of the Youth Union Central Committee’s representatives and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS), the Ministry of Defense. 

The youths had a good chance to speak to leaders of the two ministries, including Senior Lieutenant General Luong Cuong, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security and Mr. Nguyen Long Hai, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

Participants of the dialogue discussed various topics, including approaches to promote youths’ vanguard role in protecting national defense and security in the current situation, and building revolutionary, regular, elite and modern People’s Army and People’s Public Security Forces;

Deputy Minister of Public Security Nguyen Van Thanh highly appreciated the speeches delivered at the forum. Many opinions at the forum mentioned practical matters in the work of ensuring national security and strengthening defense.

The forum was organizes in parallel with other 7 forums between the Youth Union’s leaders and representatives of various ministries, including the Ministry of Education and Training; Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; and Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
