PM Phuc to attend ASEAN Summit next week

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and his wife will lead a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation to attend the 33rd Summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and related meetings in Singapore over November 13-15.

The visit comes at the invitation of PM Phuc’s Singaporean counterpart, Lee Hsien Loong.
Established in 1967, the ASEAN groups Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Singapore is currently the Chair of ASEAN this year and Thailand will officially take over the chairmanship early next year.
