PM Phuc visits Saint Petersburg

He highlighted the increasingly expanded relations between “the northern capital city” of Russia with Vietnamese localities and the regular exchange of all-level delegation and affirmed the Vietnamese Government’s support for localities of the two nations in boosting comprehensive cooperation.
The Vietnamese Government leader applauded both sides’ coordination in launching a host of meaningful activities in the framework of the Vietnam Year in Russia and the Russia Year in Vietnam, thereby deepening the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Russia.
He thanked the Saint Petersburg authorities for their facilitation for the overseas Vietnamese community living and working in the city.
In reply, Beglov told his guest that the municipal authorities greatly value the time-honoured relationship between the two nations, adding that numerous activities are to be held, particularly the Vietnam-Russia Youth Forum and the Day of Ho Chi Minh City in Saint Petersburg,
Earlier, PM Phuc and his delegation laid a wreath at the Piskaryovskoye Memorial Cemetery which is dedicated to victims of the Siege of Leningrad and soldiers of the Leningrad Front.
They also made a tour of the Winter Palace, part of the Hermitage Museum, which displays some 3 million art works.
The same day’s afternoon, PM Phuc departed Saint Petersburg for Moscow, continuing his activities during his official visit to Russia.
