The document points out the causes of limitations and weaknesses in Party building after 5 years implementing Resolution 4 of the 11th Party Central Committee as well as solutions to promote the quality in Party building and rectification in the new context.
Recognizing the degradation in political ideology, thought, morality and lifestyle and manifestations of “self-evolution” and “self-transformation” within the Party, the Resolution sets standards for cadres and Party members.
Accordingly, the officials must show good examples of who prioritize national and collective interests over their own interests. They must really serve as servants of the people and work for the people.
The Resolution aims to strengthen the people’s confidence in the Party and to improve the efficiency of the combat against corruption.
The fourth meeting of the 12th Party Central Committee took place in Hanoi from October 9-14 with a focus on consolidating the Party, and preventing the degradation in political ideology, morality and lifestyle, and manifestations of “self-evolution” and “self-transformation” within the Party.
Socio-economic situation in 2016 and plans for 2017 were also high on the agenda. At the meeting, delegates with a high sense of responsibility, gave many opinions on several major policies on renewing the growth model and increasing the quality of socio-economic growth and the competitiveness of the economy while Vietnam has been adopting new FTAs.
