Party Secretary-General, State President Nguyen Phu Trong attends PSCPC’s meeting

The Public Security Central Party Committee (PSCPC) held a meetingon December 1 to review its task performance in 2020 and discuss working orientations and key tasks for 2021.

Party Secretary-General and President Nguyen Phu Trong attended and delivered a keynote speech at the meeting. The event was chaired by General To Lam, Politburo’s Member, Secretary of the PSCPC and Minister of Public Security.

Speaking at the meeting, Party Secretary-General and State President Nguyen Phu Trong praised the efforts and achievements of the PSCPC in directing the Public Security Forces to protect national security, maintain social order and enhance force building, contributing to maintaining political stability, creating a peaceful and secure environment for socio-economic development and diplomatic activities of the Party and State.

Regarding the work of Party and force building, Mr. Nguyen Phu Trong requested the PSCPC to thoroughly and effectively implement the resolutions of the Party Central Committee on Party building.

At the meeting, delegates assessed outcomes of the public security Party organization in 2020 as well as pointed out shortcomings and discussed solutions to them.

They also proposed working orientations and schemes to build elite and modern public security forces.
