Preparations for APEC Economic Leaders' Week 2017 basically completed

Accordingly, the APEC Economic Leaders' Week is the last yet the most important event of the APEC Year 2017. The Foreign Ministry's Spokeswoman Le Thi Thu Hang stressed, "As the host country, Vietnam has strived to create the most favorable conditions for the success of the APEC Economic Leaders' Week. At the moment, the preparation for event and venue facilities, hotels, convention centers and press center have basically been completed and are ready for the activities and meetings, and welcoming delegates and the press."

The spokeswoman of the Foreign Ministry also said that in order to ensure the smooth and formal operation of the APEC Summit Week under the APEC standards and norms at a reasonable cost, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Minh Binh - Chairman of the APEC 2017 National Committee led a rehearsal of activities of the APEC Economic Leaders' Week in Da Nang. He also gave directions on the implementation of plans for reception, the press, logistics, security, health, hygiene and food safety.

The Vietnam Foreign Ministry's Spokeswoman Le Thi Thu Hang  also said that almost all APEC member economies have confirmed the participation of their leaders in the APEC Economic Leaders' Week. 

"In the framework of the APEC Economic Leader's Week, there will be a number of visits by APEC member economies' leaders to Vietnam. Vietnam together with other APEC economies will continue arranging the welcome receptions for leaders of APEC economies attending the activities of the APEC Economic Leaders' Week," she said.

Regarding the visit of US President Donald Trump to Vietnam, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman said that the two sides are preparing for the visit.
