Among over 500 non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in Vietnam, WVI is one of the first ones operating in the country.
He praised WVI for introducing sustainable and comprehensive approaches to poverty reduction in Vietnam.
The WVI President for his part told the Vietnamese leader that his organisation targets supporting the poor and the most vulnerable around the globe and pledges to continue its contributions to poverty reduction, sustainable development, and climate change mitigation in Vietnam.
The Vietnamese leader also suggested WVI to continue helping Vietnam alleviate difficulties in rural development, health care and education infrastructure for residents living in remote and mountainous areas, and disaster mitigation.
