Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc praises the sound leadership of Public Security Central Party Committee
The Public Security Central Party Committee (PSCPC) on December 19 held a conference to comprehensively assess all aspects of the Public Security Forces’ task performance in 2019 and give orientations for the working program of the Ministry of Public Security in 2020.

The meeting also prepared contents for the 75th National Public Security Conference.
General To Lam, Politburo Member, Secretary of the PSCPC, Minister of Public Security chaired the conference. Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc attended and delivered a keynote speech at the conference.
The conference also saw the presence of leaders of the Central Party Committee’s Organizing Commission, Commission for Internal Affairs, Inspection Commission among members of the PSCPC and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security.
At the conference, delegates listened to draft documents for the 75th National Public Security Conference delivered by Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security, as well as to major issues to be discussed at the conference.

Meanwhile, Senior Lieutenant General Le Quy Vuong, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the PSCPC, Deputy Minister of Public Security, briefed the delegates on the results of leadership of the PSCPC, and Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security reported on the Public Security Forces’ implementation of the Politburo's Resolution No. 22-NQ/TW on further renovating and streamlining the apparatus of the Ministry of Public Security for more efficiency and effectiveness.
Under the chairmanship of Minister To Lam, delegates at the discussion session highlighted outstanding results of task performance in 2019 of the People’s Public Security Forces (PPSF), pointed out limitations in performing assignments, as well as identified prime objectives, major tasks and solutions to the remaining issues so as to ensure national security and social order and force building in 2020.

The delegates also evaluated the results of the Public Security Forces’ two-year implementation of the Politburo's Resolution No. 22-NQ/TW and results of the Public Security Forces’ implementation of the Platform on National Construction in regard to their assigned missions over the past 30 years.
Speaking at the conference, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc stated that, in 2019, the PPSF have made breakthroughs in performing their tasks. Accordingly, they effectively gave strategic advice to the Party and the State to address important and key national security and public order issues. They also successfully accomplished the tasks of protecting national security, ensuring social order and safety, which created a favorable condition for economic, cultural and social development, and expansion of international cooperation.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc stated that the PPSPC should continue to closely coordinate with Party committees and local authorities to deploy professional police officers to communes in line with the Politburo’s guidance. He requested that the project should be completed in the first quarter of 2020.
As Party congresses at all levels and the 13th National Congress will be held in 2020, the PPSF must ensure public order, security and safety in all localities throughout the country, contributing to the success of the Party congresses.
