Transport Minister named of Da Nang Municipal Party Committee

• Nguyen Xuan Anh dismissed as head of Da Nang Party Committee
• Politburo taps tourism as spearhead economic sector

On October 7, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee Ha Ban announced Politburo's decision of personnel work.

Accordingly, member of the Party Central Committee and Transport Minister Truong Quang Nghia will take the position of Secretary of the Da Nang Municipal Party Committee for the 2015-2020 tenure.   

Speaking at the event, Politburo member and Head of the Party Central Committee’s Organization Commission Pham Minh Chinh stated that during the 2015-2020 tenure, the Standing Board and the Secretary of the municipal Party Committee committed wrongdoings that have hurt the Party’s prestige. 

Therefore, Politburo decided to make this appointment with the aim of adjusting the apparatus of Da Nang.

He also asked the board to unite to fulfill tasks assigned by the Party and people as well as called on former leaders and local residents to contribute to the development of the city. 

Nghia, for his part, vowed to do his best together with the board to develop the city.

Earlier, on October 6, Nguyen Xuan Anh has been dismissed as Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee and removed from the Party Central Committee (PCC) after being found to have committed serious violations.
