Vietnam NA leader has weighty agenda, busy schedule for Sweden visit

Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, chair of Vietnam National Assembly, had a weighty agenda and busy schedule on her state visit to Sweden on April 7, for which a priority was bolstering legislative cooperation.

The first stop on her itinerary is a visit to the Riksdagshuset.  Above: Ms Ngan’s motorcade arrives at the Riksdag parliament house on April 7.

Speaker of the Swedish Parliament Urban Ahlin greets Ms Ngan.


Ms Ngan signs the guest book with a memorandum noting she hopes the traditional friendship ties between the two countries will continue to blossom in coming years.

Representatives of the two legislatures hold talks.


Later, Ms Ngan meets with Eva Louis Erlandsson, the mayor of Stockholm. 

After which, she pays a courtesy visit to the Crown Princess of Sweden Victoria Ingirid Alice Désirée. 

At a subsequent meeting, Ms Ngan meets with leaders of the Ericsson Group where prospects for increased trade links are discussed.


Representatives of SWECO, a leading Swedish consulting company attend the meeting.

Near the end of the day, Ms Ngan meets with leaders of Hammarby City.

The NA Leader concludes her visit to Sweden the same day and heads for the airport where she will depart for Hungary.
