Foreign Ministry spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang made the statement when asked about Vietnam’s viewpoint on the diplomatic tension between Qatar and the Gulf states on June 9.
Vietnam has maintained good relations with the Middle East countries in general, and with the Gulf Cooperation Council members in particular, said the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry spokesperson.

Vietnam hopes that the countries will soon have dialogues to seek measures that benefit all related parties and their peoples, contributing to regional peace and stability, Hang said.
Regarding terror attacks in Iran on June 7, the spokesperson said, “Vietnam strongly condemns the two recent terror attacks targeting civilians in Iran. All terror acts in any form should be severely punished. We extend our condolences to the State, government, and people of Iran and relatives of the victims.”
The brazen attacks on Iran’s parliament building and the tomb of the country’s revolutionary founder killed at least 12 people and injured other 46.
