Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang met with the Vietnamese police peacekeepers who works at the United Nations Mission in South Sudan, on the morning of July 27, in Cairo, Egypt.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang met with the Working Group of the Ministry of Public Security to carry out the peacekeeping mission at the United Nations Mission in South Sudan on the occasion of the Working Group's visit to Egypt.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang met with the Vietnamese police peacekeepers who works at the United Nations Mission in South Sudan, on the morning of July 27, in Cairo, Egypt. The Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister was on his visit to Egypt while the police peacekeepers were also on their working trip to Egypt.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang praised the Vietnamese police peacekeepers for their achievements in working in South Sudan, saying that they successfully completed the tasks assigned by the Party, State and the Ministry of Public Security, and that the UN recent decision to extend their working term in South Sudan is their honor as well as the country’s pride.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang wished that they would try their best to fulfill their assignments, actively learn from their international peers, and maintain good friendship with delegations from other countries, contributing to beautifying the image of the Vietnamese police officer, raising the prestige of Vietnam in general and the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam in particular in the international arena.

To date, the Ministry of Public Security has sent an officer to work at the United Nations Police Department, three police officers to participate in the South Sudan peacekeeping mission.

Additionally, 14 other officers have been granted SAAT certificates by the United Nations (being qualified to join the peacekeeping force of the United Nations), organized pre-deployment training for 22 officers, sent 26 officers to participate in seven training courses held in partner countries of the United Nations.
