The content of the letter has been translated into English as follows:
On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the People's Public Security Magazine (June 30th), the General Secretary sincerely conveyed his best regards to generations of leaders, editors, employees and collaborators of the People's Public Security Magazine.
Over the past 60 years, the People’s Public Security Magazine has always successfully fulfilled its assigned tasks and made great contributions to the work of strengthening and protecting the Party’s ideological and theoretical foundation as well as the work of ensuring national security and social order of the Public Security Forces; as a result, the magazine has been rewarded many noble awards by the Party and State.
In the current context, apart from opporturnities and advantages, the Public Security Forces face a number of difficulties and challenges from both domestic and international situation, which require the forces to work harder in the cause of safeguarding and developing the Fatherland.
In these circumstances, the Public Security Forces should try harder to successfully fulfill all their political tasks entrusted by the Party, State and People.
To meet the requirements for the tasks of safeguarding and developing the Fatherland in the new era, the General Secretary wished, the People’s Public Security Magazine would further promote its glorious tradition to make more contributions to strengthening and protecting the Party’s ideological and theoretical foundations as well as safeguarding national security and ensuring social order, contributing to building the Public Security Forces as a truly clean, strong, regular, elite and modern force.
With his dear feelings, the General Secretary wished that the People’s Public Security Magazine would become the ideological flagship of the Public Security Forces and well play its role as the political, legal and professional theoretical agency of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security.
The General Secretary again wished the Magazine greater success in the coming time.
