Ministry of Public Security holds program to honor fire and rescue force
The Ministry of Public Security in coordination with Vietnam Television launched the mobilization “All people participate in anti-fire and rescue”, on the evening of September 28, in Hanoi.
The Ministry of Public Security in coordination with Vietnam Television launched the mobilization “All people participate in anti-fire and rescue”, on the evening of September 28, in Hanoi.
The program was in celebration of the 62nd founding anniversary of the Fire and Rescue Police Force (October 4, 1961), the 22nd “All people prevent and fight fire” Day (October 4, 2001). The program was broadcast live on channels VTV1, Vietnam Television and People's Public Security Forces Television (ANTV).
Speaking at the program, Chairman of the National Assembly Vuong Dinh Hue expressed his emotion when participating in the program to honor the noble, courageous actions and outstanding achievements of the Fire and Rescue Police Force and people in fire and rescue work, as well as to remember the victims of fire and pay tribute to the fire officers and people who had bravely sacrificed their lives during fire fighting and rescue in recent fire cases.
On behalf of the Party and State leaders, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue praised the Fire and Rescue Police Force for its great work results of firefighting and rescue work in recent times, saying that firefighting and rescue work is a front without gunfire, but every time firefighters engage in battle, they have to face various dangers risking their health and lives.
On this occasion, the Chairman of the National Assembly called on all agencies, units, organizations, economic sectors and people to further raise awareness and responsibility for fire prevention, considering it an important, regular task.
At the event, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces to fire and rescue units for their great achievements.
Under the authorization of the Prime Minister, Minister of Public Security, General To Lam awarded the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit to 12 units and officers.
National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and Minister To Lam also awarded the Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of Public Security and medals to 120 units and officers for their outstanding achievements in fire fighting and rescue work.
