The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) and the Central Commission for Mass Mobilization (CCMM) held a meeting on April 14 to review their 5-year implementation of the coordination program in the 2016-2021 period and sign a new coordination deal for the 2022-2026 period.

Minister of Public Security General To Lam and Chairwoman of the CCMM Bui Thi Minh Hoai co-chaired the meeting.

The meeting is an opportunity for the CCMM and the MPS to evaluate their coordination results and discuss solutions to deepen their relationship as well as exchange experience and creative ways in carrying out mass mobilization.

At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the CCMM Pham Tat Thang delivered a report on the assessment of the coordination between the two sides over the past five years, affirming that the bilateral coordination program has brought about comprehensive results in several fields of mass mobilization.

At the event, Minister To Lam and Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai signed a new mass mobilization coordination program between the two agencies in 2022 - 2026.

Addressing the meeting, Minister To Lam thanked the CCMM for its coordination and support for the MPS with mass mobilization programs and hoped that the commission would assist the Public Security Forces in performing their assigned tasks in the coming time.

In order to continue effectively implementing the coordination program between the MPS and CCMM in the time to come, Minister To Lam asked the Public Security Forces and the nationwide mass mobilization sector to coordinate closely in effectively implementing the guidelines of the Party and State on mass mobilization work.

He also suggested that the two forces should join efforts in countering false information and “peaceful evolution” plots of hostile forces against the Party and State while further applying achievements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution to mass mobilization work, organizing more training courses on mass mobilization skills training for mass mobilization cadres and public security officers, especially the officers who are in charge of protecting security and social order at the grassroots level.
