NA Chairman pays Tet visit to Ca Mau police
National Assembly (NA) Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue visited police officers and soldiers in the southernmost province of Ca Mau on January 25, on the threshold of the Lunar New Year (Tet).
At the meeting, Senior Colonel Pham Thanh Sy, Director of the Ca Mau Provincial Police Department briefed the top legislator on outstanding achievements obtained by the provincial police in 2021.
According to him, thanks to the local police’s efforts, the rate of social order-related crimes was reduced by 6.7% while traffic accidents decreased in terms of number and casualty.
Additionally, the Ca Mau Provincial Police Department was commended by the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Public Security for its early completion of the two key projects on the National Population Database and e-ID cards.
Ca Mau was also one of 27 provinces and cities early completing the project to post commissioned police officers to communes and townships.
On behalf of Party and State leaders, NA Chairman Hue praised the efforts of Ca Mau police over the past year.
Chairman Hue stressed that, as Ca Mau holds a strategic position, the provincial police should continue striving, together with the military and Border Guard forces and local people, to regularly strengthen the national defence posture in order to deal with all complicated security situations.
