Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on September 29 inspected Hoa Binh’s implementation of a nationwide movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses by 2025, as part of his working visit to the northern mountainous province.

Nguyen Phi Long, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, reported that in response to the PM's call for this movement, Hoa Binh has devised a plan to remove 3,200 ramshackle houses. It aims to build 2,200 new homes this year and complete the eradication of temporary housing by the end of 2025.

Visiting several families who had recently moved into new homes as part of the initiative, the Government leader expressed his joy in witnessing their improved living conditions. He praised the local authorities for taking action and bringing happiness to residents.

Chinh called on the local Party, administration, and organisations to spread the spirit of a collective effort, effectively manage resources and achieve the goal of improved housing for poor residents. He said comprehensive solutions are needed to help people secure jobs and sustainable livelihoods, enabling them to not only escape poverty but also thrive and enjoy better living conditions, he said.

Hailing the concerted effort of the political system, philanthropists, businesses, and the public in the movement, the PM said he is confident that the movement will continue to expand, delivering tangible results and ensuring that no one is left behind in the pursuit of a prosperous and happy life for all.

Earlier that day, the leader and his delegation offered incense at the Giang Xeo revolutionary base in Cao Son commune, Da Bac district, where the province's first military training class was held. From this base, Da Bac’s Tay, Dao, and Muong ethnic communities were inspired to join the revolution and contribute to the success of the 1945 August Revolution.
