President Phuc visits Vietnam-Russia Tropical Centre

Vietnamese President Nguyen Xuan Phuc paid a visit to the Vietnam-Russia Tropical Centre on November 22 in Hanoi to mark the 104th anniversary of the Russian October Revolution (1917-2021).

The Vietnamese State leader is given a tour of an area which exhibits scientific and technological products at the Vietnam-Russia Tropical Centre.

Phuc participates in a meeting with the centre’s leaders and staff.

Andrey Kuznetsov, general director of the Russian side at the centre, shows his sincere thanks at the support given by both the Vietnamese and Russian Governments for the development of the centre.

Russian Ambassador to Vietnam Bezdetko Gennady Stepanovich highlights the centre’s achievements in terms of scientific research. Most recently the centre put its modern equipment into use during the COVID-19 fight in various hotspots, including Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang City, Binh Duong, and Bac Giang provinces.

President Phuc praises the centre’s outstanding achievements over the past three decades.

The State leader stresses how the centre helps to strengthen the traditional friendship between both sides.

He presents gifts to both Kuznetsov and Ambassador Stepanovich.

President Phuc also offers gifts to specialists working at the Vietnam-Russia Tropical Centre.
