State President attends spring festival of ethnic groups nationwide

A spring festival held to celebrate ethnic minority groups nationwide opened on February 12 at the Vietnam Ethnic Village of Culture and Tourism in Son Tay town on the outskirts of Hanoi in the presence of State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

The spring festival is held on February 12 and February 13, featuring a wide range of cultural activities of ethnic minority groups from around the country.

Addressing officials and 200 representatives of 22 ethnic groups from 15 provinces, State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc said the Party’s ethnic minority policy has created optimal conditions for upholding and developing the cultural identity of each ethnic group while facilitating the harmonisation of the groups’ culture to form the culture of Vietnam.
