Vietnam legislature leader begins Hungary visit

 Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam Vuong Dinh Hue left Hanoi for Budapest, beginning an official visit to Hungary at the invitation of Speaker of the Hungarian National Assembly Laszlo Kover.

NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue leaves Hanoi for Budapest, beginning a working visit to Hungary.

He was accompanied by Depputy Prime Ministser Le Van Thanh, leaders of several ministries such as the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Education, and leaders of some localities.

The Vietnam – Hungary relations have developed vigorously, especially after the two sides upgraded their ties to a comprehensive partnership during Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong’s visit to Hungary in 2018.

The two sides have maintained exchange of delegations at all levels and cooperated closely at regional and international inter-parliamentary forums such as the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA), Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), Asia Pacific Parliamentary Forum (APPF), Asia-Europe Parliamentary Partnership (ASEP), and Francophone interparliamentary organization (APF).

During Hue’s visit, the two sides are expected to promote bilateral cooperation in various fields, especially economy - trade - investment, health care, culture, and education – training. They will examine ways to speed up the negotiation and signing of several cooperation agreements and effectively implement the Vietnam - EU Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA).
