Ba Ria Vung Tau police launches traffic camera system

PSNews – The Ba Ria Vung Tau Provincial Police Department on April 12 inaugurated the first phase of a traffic monitoring camera system project in the locality. 

According to Senior Colonel Bui Van Thao, Director of Ba Ria Vung Tau Police, the first phase of the project has been completed after 3 months of installation.

In particular, there are 18 places along National Highway 5 installed with cameras and traffic surveillance equipment. 

These cameras are able to record, identify and classify people, vehicles automatically, helping the police detect traffic offences and investigate the security-related cases.

The new traffic camera system also allows citizens to call directly to the police station to provide information about law violations and traffic incidents in the area.
