CAND Newspaper and Agribank support poor people in Cao Bang
PSNews – A charitable and social team of the Public Security (CAND) Newspaper and Agribank visited and presented Tet gifts to poor people in Thong Hue and Chi Vien communes, Trung Khanh, Cao Bang.

The CAND Newspaper and Agribank presented 100 gifts, each worth VND 500,000, to residents of the two communes of Thong Hue and Chi Vien, Trung Khanh. Most local people there are farmers and face various difficulties.
In the past few years, in addition to its main tasks of information and dissemination, the CAND Newspaper has mobilized donors of various kinds to support poor people all over the country, said Colonel Tran Duy Dien, Head of the Legal and Reader Affairs Division of the CAND Newspaper. He added that, this year’s “Tet for the poor” program initiated by the CAND Newspaper had mobilized some VND 6 billion, some VND 400 million from Agribank.
The Tet gifts are not very valuable but bear the sentiments of all officers and staff members of the CAND Newspaper and Agribank for local people in the hope that needy people would happily celebrate the traditional New Year festival, Mr. Hien said. He also hoped that local people would further support and coordinate with the public security forces to maintain security and order in the border areas.

Nong Van Khang, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Chi Vien commune thanked CAND Newspaper and Agribank for their both material and sentimental supports, adding that the local authorities and people in Chi Vien would strive to overcome all difficulties and make more contributions to socio-economic development and security and order of the district and province.
