CAND Newspaper and donor bring Tet gifts to needy people in Hoa Binh

According to Mr. Bui Van Thai, Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Ngo Luong Commune, Ngo Luong commune has about 1,500 households with a majority of the Muong ethnicity. Due to difficult access terrains and poor roads, local people lead a hard life.
Nam Son and Bac Son are also poor communes of Tan Lac District with more than 40% poor local households.
In Nam Son Commune, Senior Colonel Pham Quang Khai and representatives of the Hoa Binh Provincial Police Department, the Tan Lac District Police Division and Phoenix Company handed over 150 packs of gifts to 150 needy families and policy beneficiary families residing in Nam Son, Bac Son and Ngo Luong communes.
On same day, the charitable mission also visited needy people living in Do Nhan Commune, Tan Lac District. Do Nhan is an extremely poor commune of Tan Lac District with more than 30% poor local households.
Speaking at the event, Senior Colonel Pham Quang Khai said that, for many years, the CAND Newspaper together with kind donors have been carrying out the program "Tet for the poor." Within the program, the CAND Newspaper's charitable missions hand over meaningful gifts to needy people and policy beneficiary families across the country.
"Although our Tet gifts are not very valuable but they hold the sentiment of the Public Security Forces in general and the CAND Newspaper in particular to needy resident of Tan Lac District. We hope that they will help local people to have a happier Tet," Senior Colonel Pham Quang Khai said.
