CAND Newspaper meets outstanding donors
PSNews – The Public Security (CAND) Newspaper on January 12 held an event to thank donors and contributors to the newspaper’s charitable program called “Tet vi nguoi ngheo Xuan Mau Tat 2018” (Tet for the poor 2018) in Ho Chi Minh City.

Major General Pham Van Mien, Editor-in-Chief of the CAND Newspaper, highlighted that, over the past 19 years with various practical activities, the charitable program has received great supports from donors across the country. Hundreds of millions of Vietnamese dongs have been donated to the poor, especially on the occasion of Tet, contributing to easing difficulties in their life. He also appreciated and thanked for the precious donations from all the donors.
Over the past years, the program has attracted donations from various companies and individuals for its lofty meaning. Particularly, many companies and people have become frequent donors to the program.
This year’s program also saw the participation of various famous people and celebrities of Vietnam, including Miss International Vietnam 2014 Dang Thu Thao, Miss Southern Region of Vietnam 2017 Nguyen Thi Hai Yen and Meritorious Artist Hong Van.
The “2018 Tet for the poor” program mobilized by the CAND Newspaper has received a total amount of VND 2.5 billion of donation in cash or gifts.
